Love Jesus:

Simply put, all service emanates from our love for Jesus. All service flows from the worship of the Father. It is not about us; it is about Him. “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7

Love His Church:

Everyone who desires to serve at Connect Church must visit www.cchurch.online/ourbeliefs and review them. This is the framework for which we exist and operate in our community and world. We ask all servant leaders to be unified in our beliefs in Christ, affirming them and aligning their lives with the Biblical standards therein. “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” John 13:14-15

Love People:

Your service in the life and ministry at Connect Church exists to connect people with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Those who serve love one another and love the people who the Lord brings under our influence as a servant leader. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” 1 Peter 4:8-9

Our relationship with one another: *

Servant leaders agree to work toward aligning their relationships with each other in order to honor Christ and His design for relationships.

Words certainly matter. Our language and the words we use can build up the church, or they can be used to tear down the church and others.

Whether on social media or in everyday conversations, servant leaders have the responsibility to wield their words to build up the church and make much of Jesus.

Servant leaders work to make much of Jesus in their lives. While there are great liberties we have in Christ, we are careful not to flaunt ours publicly and not in offense of others, especially in the life of the body of Christ.

Open to Loving Accountability: *

When a person serves in the life and ministry at Connect Church, they do so understanding, first and foremost, that they represent Christ. Secondly, you represent Connect Church. We ask all who serve to honor Christ both publicly and privately. While perfection is impossible on this side of eternity, the pursuit of Jesus is the goal for every member of Connect Church. Connect Church is a place where it is okay to not be okay, but it is not okay to stay that way. As a servant leader, you agree to operate under the Matthew 18:15-20 principle for conflict resolution as outlined by Jesus. “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name there am I with them.” Matthew 18:15-20

Below are the attire expectations for each person serving at Connect Church: *

Reflect the style of the congregation: We want to provide a casual atmosphere where anyone would feel welcome while not going “overboard” on “casual”. Attire Specifics: Men: nice shirt & pants/jeans/shorts; optional jackets, sweaters & vests. Refrain from wearing sleeveless t-shirts. Women: blouse & pants, skirt or dress (knee length). No pants that are tight all the way down unless you wear a long top that goes mid-thigh. No see-through material unless you wear an undershirt. Refrain from wearing spaghetti straps or plunging necklines. No midriff showing.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand my expectations in regards to attire when I am serving at Connect Church.
